Dioxycle has been named one of C&EN’s #10StartUpsToWatch!
C&EN’s hashtag10StartUpsToWatch list is out, highlighting ten of the most promising startups chosen from hundreds of bold ventures. The list showcases companies with groundbreaking innovations to tackle some of society’s biggest challenges across the chemicals, biotech and materials sectors.
𝘍𝘶𝘯 𝘧𝘢𝘤𝘵: “Dioxycle” comes from “dioxide + recycle” and this is what we do – 𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘺𝘤𝘭𝘦 waste carbon emissions (such as carbon 𝘥𝘪𝘰𝘹𝘪𝘥𝘦) into valuable everyday products. The C&EN article covers the origin of our company, our emission-busting electrolyzer and our mission to cut global emissions by 2% by producing low-carbon footprint ethylene.
Ethylene is a fundamental building block that touches almost every major industrial sector, with an annual market size of $200 bn. The only thing that can compete the size of the ethylene market is its carbon footprint, with its production being responsible for more than 250 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions every year.
